SHIPPING POLICY
1. ORDER PROCESSING & PAYMENT
StormLine Supply operates on a strictly upfront payment model. Orders are processed only after 100% of the purchase price, including shipping and handling fees, has cleared our accounts.
• In-Stock Items: Typically processed and shipped within 1–3 business days.
• Special Orders & Dropshipped Items: Certain high-end fiber tools are shipped directly from the manufacturer. Lead times for these items are estimates provided by the supplier; StormLine Supply is not liable for manufacturer backorders or production delays.
2. TRANSFER OF RISK (FOB SHIPPING POINT)
THE RISK OF LOSS AND TITLE PASSES TO THE BUYER IMMEDIATELY UPON DELIVERY OF THE GOODS TO THE CARRIER (UPS, FEDEX, DHL, ETC.).
StormLine Supply’s responsibility for the physical condition and delivery of the goods ends at our warehouse (or the manufacturer’s warehouse). We are not responsible for:
• Packages stolen after a confirmed delivery ("Porch Piracy").
• Packages lost or misdirected by the carrier.
• Damage occurring during transit.
Recommendation: We strongly advise customers to ship to secure commercial addresses. For high-value equipment, a signature will be required upon delivery.
3. SHIPPING INSURANCE & CLAIMS
For high-value fiber gear (fusion splicers, OTDRs, etc.), we may include or offer shipping insurance. In the event of transit damage or loss:
• The Buyer must initiate a claim directly with the carrier.
• StormLine Supply will provide documentation to support your claim, but we do not issue refunds or replacements until the carrier has successfully completed their investigation and paid the claim.
4. NO LIABILITY FOR PROJECT DELAYS
StormLine Supply understands that construction schedules are rigid. However, WE ARE NOT LIABLE FOR ANY LIQUIDATED DAMAGES, LABOR BACK-CHARGES, OR PENALTIES incurred by the Buyer due to shipping delays, customs holds, or carrier errors. All transit times are estimates and are not guaranteed.
5. INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING (DELIVERED DUTY UNPAID)
We ship to contractors worldwide on a Delivered Duty Unpaid (DDU) basis.
• Duties & Taxes: All VAT, GST, import duties, and brokerage fees are the sole responsibility of the Buyer.
• Compliance: Buyer must provide all necessary trade numbers (VAT, EORI, or Tax ID) at checkout.
• Refused Shipments: If a shipment is refused due to unpaid duties, the Buyer is responsible for the original shipping costs and a 25% restocking fee, which will be deducted from any refund.
6. DROPSHIPPING DISCLOSURE
Certain items are shipped directly from third-party manufacturers. Buyer acknowledges that StormLine Supply does not physically inspect dropshipped items. Any claims regarding the physical condition of these items upon arrival must be documented with photos immediately and reported to the carrier and StormLine Supply within 24 hours of receipt.
7. ADDRESS ACCURACY
We ship strictly to the address provided at the time of checkout.
• We do not ship to PO Boxes or Freight Forwarders for industrial equipment.
• If an item is returned due to an incorrect address, the Buyer is responsible for all additional shipping costs to re-send the package.
